Objects of desire (and where to buy them)

Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you’re all getting to enjoy the long weekend, whatever your plans are. I’ve had the last fortnight off and have been very busy getting lots done in number 69. Unfortunately, all has not gone to plan and the living room reveal won’t be this week. Boo, I know.

So, instead of leaving your Friday devoid of some ’69 style’ (I just made that up…bit dodgy, but let’s go with it), I thought I’d post the second of my ‘objects of desire’ online shopping expeditions.

Once again, I’ve scoured a number of online sites, to find my ‘best objects of t’internet’ and collated them into a mood board guide of where to buy. Enjoy!

Boho mood board

One: I love a mongolian wool cushion and the colour of this one from TK Maxx is gorgeous. At £29.99 it’s not cheap, but for the real thing, it’s pretty good value. For similar, but faux fur, try Matalan. These are available in a range of colours.

Two: This boho textured cushion from Homage via Trouva, £35.00, is right on trend, however, the handmade feel never goes out of fashion, so you would have it for years.

Three: French Connection have a fantastic range of aged looking dhurrie rugs. This one is my favourite. Medium Vintage King Rug, £125.00 for 180 x 120cm size. Also available in square. Not massive in size, but would look great layered over a plain rug.

Four: Another boho style textured cushion. I love the portrait rectangle shape of this one along with the washy, inky blue/grey colour. Bloomingville blue boho cushion, £49.00, PAD Lifestyle, via Trouva.

Five: I had to add these Dora vases, from Abigail Ahern, as I have just bought them and LOVE them. Check my Instagram to see moreThere are actually three sizes, shown here are the medium and small. The medium Dora vase usually costs £25.00 but is reduced in the sale to £17.50. If you’re after a strong structural looking piece, this is gorgeous.

Six: If I had seen this coffee table before I bought my one, there may have been a tough decision to make. I love the clean lines of the Aula coffee table, Made.com, £249.00. And, brass…!

Seven: I had never been a massive fan of Dunelm Mill for home accessories or lighting but they have some really great stuff in at the moment. This is the Tanner table lamp and is a total bargain at £22.00. This wouldn’t look out of place in a designer shop.

A bit of a boho feel to my ‘objects of desire’ guide this week. I love the contrast of the irregular handmade qualities of the textiles, next to the sleek, contemporary styling of the coffee table. Although the coffee table directs this towards a sitting room style, it could easily be translated into any room.

Maybe a bedroom?..

Just swap out the coffee table for this;
